Nuts and Bolts

There are a great many elements to supplying a LED screen. Apart from specifying the right size of screen and pixel pitch for a given site, the product needs to be built in panel component form in China and shipped over to the UK.

These panels are then fitted into custom made frames and enclosures, which in turn are fitted with whatever mounting brackets or legs a particular site demands. The whole product can then be delivered to site and installed at whatever hour the client needs to avoid disrupting the working life of the mall or store.

A site survey will determine the optimum location, size and pixel pitch (resolution) of the screen. Then drawings of the location are sent to our structural engineers who come up with a detailed design of the support frame and enclosure of the screen for submission back to the client's structural engineers.

When all is agreed, fabrication drawings are produced and the steel/aluminium frame and enclosure is put into production. Electrical requirements are specified and an internet connection ordered to enable remote control of, and content delivery to, the screen.

Screens under factory acceptance test in Shenzhen, China.

Whilst all this is going on the Purchase Order has been placed on the Chinese LED panel maker and the screen components custom built, factory accepted by us and shipped by sea or air to the UK. The frame and panels are then checked for completeness and the system is delivered to site.

A team of steel fixers mount the frame and then the LED installation crew fit the panels and content server before testing and commissioning the screen.

This whole process takes between 45 and 120 days depending upon the speed with which the client's structural engineers work, the complexity of site access and screen mounting method, and whether the LED panels come by sea or air to the UK.

All of this is managed by LED Screens Direct to ensure a smooth fixed timescale and fixed price delivery of your new LED screen.
